End of August

Kelsey | AUG 29, 2026

August is coming to an end and with it, hopefully summer. Though it's still in the triple digits here in the valley of the Sun, autumn is slowly sneaking in. Pumpkin fills every menu, kids are going back to school, and something in the air reminds us that it's almost harvest time.

This time of year always feels like a homecoming of sorts for me, like I'm coming out of hibernation. It's a time of gratitude and taking stock of the year behind us. A time to prepare for the winter of rest and replenishment. It's my favorite.

Upcoming offerings:

Sister Circle is back! At Casa Medicina in downtown Glendale, every last Saturday of the month at 6pm!

Sound Baths will be available on my website soon

Books I've read this month:

What My Bones Know by Stephanie Foo

Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain (reread)

Momma Cusses by Gwenna Laithland (reread)

The Mad Wife by Meagan Church

Looking forward to what September brings!
